See exactly what remains on your produce with a compact 365 nm UV device that highlights residues, dyes, and aflatoxin-like patterns that rinses miss, so you can decide what to wash again or discard before serving.

Product demonstration

Unlike cheap 395 nm blacklights that wash everything in a violet-blue glow, this wand uses a true filtered 365 nm wavelength. By blocking visible violet spillover, it keeps the background dark and makes actual fluorescing spots stand out in greens and blues against the produce’s natural color.

Built for kitchen use, the unit runs 10W of LED power and can project a clean violet beam up to 164 ft, allowing you to inspect a full bag of apples, a tray of berries, or the back of a canister without bending in close. A compact 90 mm length with a 10 mm head makes it slimmer than a marker, so it slots into a drawer, tote, or backpack with ease.

Choose between aluminum alloy or plastic housing, balancing heft and durability. The design is meant to withstand everyday kitchen bumps and to stay put in a drawer, tote, or backpack for years of use.

The 365 nm beam is the key to meaningful detection. When you dim the room slightly, activate PureSpectra, and sweep from 4–6 inches away, bright greens or blues that don’t match the food indicate fluorescence. Use a cold water rinse with baking soda, peel the skin, or skip the item as you see fit—your choice, now informed by a visible result.

In addition to produce, the same 365 nm beam reveals fluorescent cues in other areas around the home, supporting a broader range of checks and detections beyond groceries.

To use, follow three simple steps: dim the area, switch on the device and hold it about 4–6 inches from the surface; scan slowly and look for greens, blues, or glow patches that don’t match the rest of the item; then wash again, peel, or skip as appropriate. The process takes about 30 seconds per scan.
